The "Triple" Ligurian Roof
The installation of the triple hook coverage takes place after laying the slats, spaced through a special rule ("scarsetta"). Starting, like for the other types of roofs, from the lowest register, i.e., the "eaves", with dimensions different from the other slates, they are arranged in such a way that each of them overlaps two-thirds of the slate of the underlying register. Proceeding in this way leads to a coverage where the same slates have a triple overlap with each other. The hook, properly shaped, is inserted into the space between one slate and another and, consequently, is covered by the slate of the next register.
