Claddings
Here is our line of claddings
Indoor Claddings
The slate cladding for bathrooms and kitchens involves, as for the installation, the same methods adopted for floors, except for the dusting system: lime mortar or adhesives. As for the thickness of the slabs, the recommended measurements are 1-1.5 or 2 cm. Thicker slabs can be used for floors or walls capable of withstanding more weight.
Outdoor Claddings
Typical and original of the outdoor environment, the split finish offers significant aesthetic advantages even when applied indoors, giving a typical rustic note to the environments of characteristic buildings.
If the classic decoration, even in a historical key, of the external slate skirting boards is that of bush-hammering, obtained by striking the slate surface with a special mallet, in more recent times new solutions have emerged, very pleasing aesthetically.
The protective function of the skirting boards is less important nowadays due to the fortunately changed hygienic conditions. However, the slate cladding of the lower part of buildings still gives considerable elegance to constructions and buildings.
Very practical, as it is easily washable, and of great plastic effect, is the smoothed skirting, which restores the full warmth and color of the slate.
An alternative to the smoothed external cladding is the so-called "split" cladding. The split skirting highlights the plastic movement of the slate, thus giving a dynamic component to the architectural ensemble.
