DOUBLE LIGURIAN ROOF
The installation of the double hook covering takes place after the laying of the laths, spaced through a specific gauge ("scarsetta"). Starting, like for other types of roofs, from the lowest batten, i.e., from the "eaves", with dimensions different from the other batten, they are arranged in such a way that each one overlaps by 1/2 to the batten of the underlying register. Proceeding in this manner results in a covering where the same slates have a double overlap with each other. The hook, suitably shaped, is inserted into the space between one batten and the next, and consequently, is covered by the batten of the next register.
